A little about me and my family...

I grew up in Springfield, Missouri (hometown of Brad Pitt!), and still visit there regularly as my mom still lives there. I married my college sweetheart Steve Frick in 1992. We lived in Lawrence KS while I went to grad school at the University of Kansas, and then I spent one year at the University of South Carolina before moving to Georgia in 1997. Steve works for The Nature Conservancy.

Our house is on a quiet street and has a swimming pool, which we use regularly in the summer. We have three cats: Lelly, Lucky, and Lucy.

I am a vegan, and I enjoy hiking, photography, cooking, gardening, going on long walks, listening to books on tape on my ipod, and teaching Melanie's Sunday School class. I am also a big fan of the Kansas Jayhawks! I keep a blog of the kids' funny stories and quotes, which I share with family and friends -- contact me if you'd like the link.
